Friday
Over two hundred vehicles gathered for Winslow’s 24th annual, “Just Cruisin’ Car Show.” Cars and trucks trickled onto the blocked streets beginning Friday morning. By late afternoon the drivers were on the poker run to be back before the moonlit Cackle Fest. As the nitro fumes dissipated and ears rang, the crowd paraded to First Street for the burnout contest and motorcycle stunt show. Afterward, in a cloud of vaporized rubber, it was back to the Route 66 block party. Bordered on the south by BoJo’s, Relic Road, and the Sippe Shoppe, cool cars and happy people enjoy the Route 66 Pavilion stage and vendors on the green.
Saturday
The car show and judging are Saturday with trophies awarded before dark. The well-executed event continues to grow thanks to The Just Cruisin’ Car Club’s planning and effort. Above all, the cars, trucks, and people are really nice. A good mix of iron is the result of new and returning faces. Year after year, people drive hundreds of miles for this show, you should too. Or ride your motorcycle, you’ll have fun for sure!
